Prior to the recent platinum certification in Canada for her collaborative track “Go Down Deh” from her debut album “10,” featuring dancehall superstars Sean Paul and Shaggy, Spice, the reigning Queen of the Dancehall, has experienced a surge and subsequent dip in streaming numbers. Prior to the release of her debut album “10,” Spice delighted fans with her inaugural EP, “So Mi Like It,” which has now surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify. This five-track project, unveiled in 2014, includes standout tunes like “Like A Man,” “Go Go,” “Whine inna Di Dance,” and notably, “So Mi Like It” and “Conjugal Visit” featuring Vybz Kartel. Distinctively produced by Notnice and TJ, “So Mi Like It” and “Conjugal Visit” garnered immense popularity for the artist.
In addition to her buzzworthy singles “First Time” and “Go Down Deh” with Sean Paul and Shaggy, Spice’s top five most popular tracks on Spotify include “Needle Eye,” “So Mi Like It,” and “Conjugal Visit.” Of the EP’s 100 million streams, “Needle Eye” and “Conjugal Visit” have amassed 11.8 million and 16.2 million streams, respectively, while “So Mi Like It” has garnered an impressive 77.1 million streams on the platform.
