Remarkably, Shaggy joins fellow Jamaican artist Sean Paul in this exclusive cluster dubbed ‘BILLIONS CLUB‘; following Paul’s achievement last year, his 2016 hit “No Lie” featuring Dua Lipa crossed the same threshold.
“It Wasn’t Me” was released on November 7, 2000, as the lead single from Shaggy’s fifth studio album, Hot Shot. The song not only peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 but also topped numerous charts worldwide, establishing Shaggy as a global dancehall sensation.
