Deliberately disappearing from the entertainment scene over the past two years to focus on other aspects of his life, dancehall vocalist Bramma is back with a bang as his soon-to-be-released single, “Mash Up Di Place“, continues to disrupt social media, added to the plethora of requests from top tier disc jocks.
Featuring on the “Ghetto Danger Riddim“, the infectious club banger sampling Busta Rhymes’s 1997 hit “Dangerous” taken from his “When Disaster Strikes” album, is already creating waves on Instagram and Tik Tok with several users creating their own rendition of the song.
Speaking with Prism Marketing Consultants, Bramma says he is delighted with the feedback so far and explained the reason for his hiatus,
“The song isn’t even released yet, and the feedback from social media and DJs is crazy. Right now, I am in a good place musically, so me just a gwaan put in the work. This is one of the reasons I took a break from the scene, to recalibrate and work on improving myself and return with a fresh style and sound.” – he added.
Bramma further revealed, “As everybody knows, we have all been dealing with the pandemic for the last two years. It presented the perfect opportunity to focus on certain personal aspects of my life and do a musical reset. It’s something I always wanted to do, but time wouldn’t allow it.” – he exclaimed.
Not disclosing an official release date, Bramma says the song will be available soon, noting that the rhythm compilation also features fellow entertainers Badda General, Raine Seville, Anthony B and Wasp, among others.
Plans are also afoot for an official video.
