Following his recent performance at the Rebel Salute showcase at Plantation Cove, St. Ann, Rastafarian crooner Capleton, in an interview, disclosed that work continues on his forthcoming album.
While not providing any specifics on a title, features or release date, he noted, “We just want di people dem now it’s in the making…we know say it long overdue.”
During the exchange, the Fireman, with has a career spanning over three decades, explained that he has a lot of collaboration to be released. Among the names are Beres Hammond, Sizzla Kalonji, Bounty Killer, Morgan Heritage, Alpha Blondy, Chronixx, Kabaka Pyramid and several emerging talents.
Adding that, “Di yutes are the future, a child shall lead di way. Mi always try fi give a strength where mi can but mi cyaah help everybody, mi kno dat impossible but at least yuh help who yuh can help”.
This upcoming album will be his first since I-Ternal Fire, released in 2010.
Prior to his Rebel Salute appearance, Capleton delivered a fiery performance at the Kings of the Earth concert held at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
