In a heartfelt statement issued by the band, they expressed their profound sorrow, describing Peter Morgan as not just a lead singer but also a cherished husband, father, son, and brother. The family extended gratitude for the outpouring of love and support while requesting privacy during this period of mourning. The cause of Peter’s death was not disclosed. He was 46 years old.

You are totally a reggae music superstar who gave from where our father said we should, our hearts. All those memories, all that laughter, all those tours. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Peter Morgan was part of the musical legacy of Jamaican singer Denroy Morgan, being one of his over twenty children. Morgan Heritage, comprising five Morgan siblings, was formed in 1994, later signing with MCA and releasing their debut album “Miracles” the same year. Following their initial success, the family relocated to Jamaica, further cementing their ties to their Jamaican roots.
Throughout their journey, the group experienced changes, with Peter, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan becoming the core members.
