Controversial deejay Skeng is set to return to court this Thursday, September 8, to answer charges relating to a confrontation at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in May.
Appearing before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court in June, the entertainer, whose given name is Kevaun Douglas, pleaded not guilty to the charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing police, and resisting arrest.
Attorney-at-law Kaysian Kennedy-Sherman representing the entertainer argued that her client was innocent when the matter was mentioned. She also requested that the prosecution reveal all relevant evidence relating to the case.
According to the police report, Skeng was prevented from boarding a flight to Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, May 24, after an argument developed between him and airport authorities, leading to him being slapped with multiple charges. He was subsequently offered station bail.
On the musical front, the Protocol deejay continues to see an uptick in streams and popularity following an unexpected move by multi-award-winning rap star Nicki Minaj remixing his local hit Likkle Miss. The single has also been officially added to her 29-track compilation, Queen Radio: Volume 1.
