This bitter family feud, unfolding publicly in the media and courts, has cast a shadow over Queen Ifrica’s otherwise bright summer as she embarks on her world tour.
The case stems from a series of shocking claims made by Queen Ifrica, whose real name is Ventrice Morgan, in August 2023, where she accused her estranged father of sexual assault and incest through various videos and interviews. Derrick Morgan has vehemently denied the allegations, filing a defamation lawsuit against his daughter in June 2024, labelling her statements as “malicious and baseless.” His legal representative, Charles ‘Advoket’ Ganga-Singh, previously confirmed that Morgan’s team would pursue the matter with “the utmost rigour” to protect his reputation.

The “Lioness on the Rise” singer commenced her highly anticipated Summer World Tour on June 1 at the Westchester Reggae Festival in New York. The tour will see her perform across the U.S., Europe, the U.K., and the Caribbean before concluding on September 28 at Rebel Salute in Miami. Despite the controversy at home, Ifrica remains focused on sharing her conscious, roots-reggae message with fans worldwide.
