Yaksta is preparing for one of the biggest moments of his career after announcing his first-ever UK headlining tour. The reggae-dancehall artiste, who has been building momentum ahead of his forthcoming album The Microphone Saved Me, is set to perform in Birmingham, London and Leeds this August. The announcement marks a major milestone for the entertainer as he continues to expand his reach beyond Jamaica and strengthen his presence on the international stage.
Dubbed the Roar Tour, the run will kick off on August 28 at XOYO Birmingham before heading to London’s iconic Electric Brixton on August 29. Yaksta will then close out the UK leg on August 30 with an appearance at the Black Music Festival in Leeds. The tour will feature support from compatriot Matthew Malcolm and is being staged in partnership with Solid Agency, Bush Music and Punch Records.
Sharing the news with fans, Yaksta expressed his excitement about what lies ahead. “The Roar Tour, UK, are you ready? I’ll be making my debut as a headliner this summer alongside team Solid Agency, Bush Music and Punch Records, with the likes of Matthew Malcom, 2k26 Wi in it fam. Full calendar to be announced with more dates to forward,” he said.
The move follows growing anticipation surrounding The Microphone Saved Me, an album Yaksta has described as one of the most important projects of his career. Over the past year, the artiste has continued to earn praise for his blend of conscious lyricism, reggae roots and modern dancehall influences, helping him carve out a unique lane in Jamaica’s competitive music landscape.
With more dates expected to be announced and excitement building around his upcoming album, the Roar Tour could represent the start of a significant new chapter for Yaksta as he takes his music and message to a wider global audience.
