South African sensation Tyla has stormed onto the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, claiming the coveted No. 1 spot with her latest hit, “Chanel,” ending the 25-week reign of Shenseea, MOLIY, Silent Addy and Skillibeng’s “Shake It to the Max (Fly).” The FAX/Epic Records release, an infectious blend of Afrobeat, amapiano, and pop, has fans buzzing with its signature hook: “Say you love me, put me in Chanel.” The track’s dominance is fueled by 2.1 million official U.S. streams and robust digital sales for the tracking week of October 24–30, marking Tyla’s third leader on the chart since its launch in April 2022.

“Chanel” also debuts at No. 5 on the World Digital Song Sales chart and tops the U.K. Official Afrobeats Chart, proving Tyla’s global appeal. This milestone follows her previous chart-toppers: “Water,” which ruled for 55 weeks and peaked at No. 7 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, and “Push 2 Start,” which led the chart for 20 weeks. Both prior hits remain relevant, holding No. 3 and No. 5 on the latest U.S. Afrobeats Songs tally.

The dethroning of “Shake It to the Max (Fly)” is notable. The collaboration between Shenseea, MOLIY, Silent Addy, and Skillibeng had dominated for 25 weeks and spent 36 weeks on the chart, earning a Gold certification in the U.K. in September—its fourth across MOLIY’s home turf and international markets.

Meanwhile, Tyla joins forces with former chart rival MOLIY on a new track, “Body Go,” which debuts at No. 9 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, driven by 325,000 streams. The release gives Tyla her 15th top 10 hit on the tally, while MOLIY secures her second top 10 entry. Fans are eagerly streaming both tracks, signaling a strong finish to 2025 and reinforcing Tyla’s status as a global Afrobeats powerhouse.

As the year continues, Tyla shows no signs of slowing down, proving she can dominate charts solo or through high-profile collaborations—setting the stage for a monumental 2026 in the international music scene.
