Demarco has stepped into the crosshairs of Dancehall, not with a new track, but to call for calm amid the fiery lyrical war between compatriots Chronic Law and Malie Donn. The ongoing feud, marked by a rapid succession of diss tracks, has sparked concern among fans and industry insiders alike, with many warning that what started as musical competition is edging dangerously close to real-life violence.

On Wednesday afternoon, Demarco took to Instagram to appeal to both artistes to end the conflict. In a forceful plea, he wrote: “LAW AND MALIE DONE DAH WAR TING YAH FAMILY… IT A GUH GET OUTTA HAND.. THE MAN DEM WEH DEH ROUN DI ARTIST DEM NUH LOVE DI ARTIST DEM!!! LAW AND MALIE UNUH A TALK SOME THINGS WEH CAH TALK OVER…. UNUH A ARTIST, A MUSIC MEK UNUH A TEK CARE A UNUH FAMIL.. JAHKNOW STAR ?” tagging both Chronic Law and Malie Donn in his post.

Demarco’s intervention comes as both artistes continue to drop diss tracks at a rapid pace, fueling speculation that the feud may be moving beyond music. He warned that certain information, once revealed to the public, could have irreversible consequences, highlighting the importance of maintaining perspective and control even amid heated rivalry.

Demarco’s post has been met with mixed reviews from the Dancehall community. Some social media users praised his call for peace, with one fan writing, “@demarcodadon The REALIEST post I ever seen!!!!?” while others criticized him for intervening, arguing that artists should let their music speak: “Marco if a man diss yuh now yuh run out brawlin. Lowe di man dem bro” and “Lowe e man dem u did tell Kartel & Mavado… go find song or buil riddim gi hit producer ain’t that what you do now?” The contrasting opinions reflect the tension between fans who view the feud as entertainment and those who fear it could escalate into something more serious.

As the lyrical exchange shows no signs of slowing down, Demarco’s call for restraint serves as both a cautionary note and a reminder that even the most competitive battles in Dancehall carry consequences beyond the studio. For now, the industry—and fans—watch closely, hoping the feud remains firmly in the music and doesn’t cross into the streets.
