Out now on all digital platforms via K-Licious Music/DubShot Records, the 13-track project signals the Clarendon native’s evolution from social media sensation to a fully realised global Caribbean voice.
Blending traditional reggae foundations with a sleek, 21st-century delivery, Emotions boasts heavyweight production from Grammy-winning super-producer Tony “CD” Kelly and global hitmaker Sean Paul, alongside guest appearances from Wayne Wonder, Ky-Mani “Maestro” Marley, Nigy Boy, and Khalia. The album’s reach is already evident, following its lead single landing on Germany’s Riddim Mag “Best Dancehall Releases 2025” list and securing rotation on major outlets including HOT 97, BBC 1Xtra, Capital XTRA, KMEL, 99 JAMZ, and Tuff Gong Radio on SiriusXM.
J’Calm also unveiled the official video for album standout “Real Love”, directed by acclaimed visual storyteller SAMO. Channeling a clear Michael Jackson-inspired aesthetic, the 20-year-old singer flexes sharp dance moves while staging a romantic roadside dinner in Jamaica. “The ‘Real Love’ music video is almost the most authentic I’ve ever been on set,” J’Calm shared. “The styling, the creativity, performance… everything. It all came together.” The visual further cements his reputation as an artist equally comfortable commanding the screen as the microphone.
Musically, Emotions thrives on its ability to bridge eras. Tony “CD” Kelly modernises iconic riddims like Answer and Green Apples, while tracks such as “Weekend” featuring Ky-Mani Marley nod to 1990s dancehall energy.
