Grammy Award-winning songwriter and Notnice Recording artiste Nordia Mothersille is on a mission to inspire — and she’s making every moment count. Fresh off her impactful visit to Excelsior High School, where she performed and motivated students with words of empowerment and dreams of greatness, Mothersille is set to bring that same fierce energy to the stage of the Jamaica International Beauty Expo 2025. The burgeoning star will headline the event on Sunday, June 29, at the National Arena in Kingston, promising a performance that blends her soul-stirring vocals with messages of confidence, self-worth, and cultural pride.
Known for her lyrical command and spiritual conviction, Mothersille’s latest single, Greatness (I Am) — produced by renowned dancehall hitmaker Notnice — has quickly become a regional anthem. The track’s empowering message was sparked by fellow artiste Jah Vinci, who encouraged her to pen something uplifting not just for fans, but for herself as well. “I wanted the lyrics to empower me as well as the listeners,” she explained in a recent interview, reflecting the personal journey that fuels her artistry.
Mothersille’s performance at the Jamaica Premier League Super Finals in May served as a turning point in her career, signalling her arrival as not just a songwriter — co-credited on Julian Marley’s Grammy-winning Colors of Royal album — but as a formidable solo act. With endorsements from industry giants like Usain Bolt and growing international interest, she is clearly manifesting the greatness she sings about.
And the dreams don’t stop there. Mothersille openly shares her ambition to collaborate with British powerhouse Adele, admitting, “I’d love to collab with Adele; I don’t think she does collabs though. I just love her.” As she prepares to headline one of the island’s premier beauty and cultural showcases, it’s clear that Nordia Mothersille is not only embracing her moment — she’s shaping a future destined for global stages.
