In the midst of swirling rumours within the dancehall community and across various social media platforms regarding purported tension between compatriots Aidonia and Govana, stemming from remarks made by Aidonia during his recent birthday celebration over the Easter Weekend, Govana has taken a proactive step to dispel the speculations and quash the dissemination of misinformation.
On Thursday evening, via his official Instagram account, the Strike Force deejay shared a video featuring himself and his associates addressing the prevailing issue. Govana stated, “Baay tingz mi see a gwaan pan di internet an right now mi deh yah fi address a one thing,”
Initially, the video depicted Govana and two associates discussing whether Aidonia intentionally omitted mention of him during his birthday performance. He then sought the opinions of his associates on the matter, to which one responded, “Godfather ah pree yuh.” Continuing in his perplexity, Govana then shifted his attention to an individual off-camera to his left, repeating the inquiry.
To the surprise of many, Aidonia, who initially remained out of view, was revealed to be standing beside Govana. Aidonia then responded, “People a p**sy mi fren suh anything can gwaan a deh suh it deh,” suggesting a nonchalant attitude towards the situation. This statement triggered a flood of mixed reactions from fans and various entertainment personalities in the comment section.
Subsequently, with the confirmation that the longstanding friendship between the two artists and label mates remained intact, Govana seized the opportunity to promote his upcoming album titled “Legacy” and its lead single featuring Jada Kingdom, set for imminent release. Govana’s post was captioned, “UNU A CLOWN MAN … 1 STRIKE FORCE #PULLOVER AT MIDNIGHT #LEGACY.”
