Dancehall sensation Silk Boss, whose given name is Rohan Reid, is being urged by law enforcement officers from the St Catherine South Police Division to formally report the incident in which he was filmed being beaten by two masked men.
In an interview earlier this week, the entertainer revealed that his assailants are members of the Gulf community in Gregory Park, St. Catherine. Though the video was released this week, the incident occurred a month ago, when he was viciously assaulted and robbed over J$1.4. million by the men with whom he had previously maintained friendships.
During an actual sit-down with broadcaster Winford Williams, Silk Boss reiterated that he had not filed a police report nor had any immediate plans to do. He asserted that his inaction was due to a lack of trust in people and the unethical nature of local law enforcement.
Nevertheless, according to reports, authorities are aware of the assault and are encouraging the artist to contact the police station on Braeton Parkway in Portmore, St. Catherine, or via telephone (876) 949-8422 so the matter can be adequately investigated.
