On Saturday, September 17, 2022, a memorial service honouring the life of dancehall luminary Merciless will be held at the St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church Hall on Church Street in May Pen, Clarendon.
Audrey E Williams Funeral Services will coordinate the proceedings, which get underway at 10 am with interment at the family plot in Clarendon.
The news comes only days after the revelation that the deejay’s cause of death could not be determined due to an inconclusive report from the first autopsy. Subsequently leading to the family considering whether to have a second one performed.
Marlon Nesbeth, Senior Superintendent of the St. Andrew Central Police Division, has acknowledged that an autopsy was conducted earlier this month. He expressed that the report indicated that the first results were inconclusive at the time of the post-mortem investigation.
Merciless, whose given name is Leonard Bartley, was discovered dead at the Harlem Resort & Tours Motel on Beechwood Avenue in St. Andrew on July 19.
