Govana’s public appeal for peace at the recently held Fisherman’s Regatta at Paggee Beach, St. Mary, appears to have fallen on deaf ears as tension escalates between dancehall rivals Jahshii and Silk Boss.
On Thursday, Jahshii released the retaliatory track Miggle Day in response to a pair of diss songs premiered last month by Silk Boss titled Facts and Runner.
Amid cries by some dancehall fans for a lyrical confrontation due to claims of the genre being ‘boring’, interestingly, not everyone is egging on the feud. Miggle Day comes as a surprise to many, considering Jahshii, in a recent online interview, stated that he would be focusing more on uplifting music. At the same time, underscoring that confrontation with his lyrical rivals would best be settled at this December’s staging of Sting.
On the heels of trading several subliminal shots with Silk Boss, some fans have scolded Jahshii, referring to him as “confused” because of his flippant behaviour and alleged jab at Skeng with the reference “coke head”, while others though not necessarily against the feud, see the track as being subpar in its delivery and potency.
