After scolding controversial songstress Ishawna for her blatant disrespect, and being issued an apology by the organizers of Reggae Sumfest, militant deejay Bounty Killer has called out Beenie Man for utterances he also made during last weekend’s performance at Catherine Hall, Montego Bay.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Warlord took to social media platform Instagram to voice his displeasure with the King of the dancehall. In a length post, Bounty wrote,
“@kingbeenieman Yu dissed me the other night on stage at Sumfest outright bout BOUT KILLER MI NUH TRUST YU go trust yu family dawg it’s only bcuz I was well focused on the assignment why I didn’t even buy into it then u would’ve heard that I spoiled the man tribute with personal feelings so ppl unuh ask beenie what is he seeking if he want’s to take it back to rivals or be idols bcuz we can start it at MECCA CLUB Tonight then since him love f*ckery👈🏿”
Moments after the post, Beenie Man shot back at the ‘Poor People Governor’ with accusations of him being deceitful in his conduct leading up to Reggae Sumfest. The dancehall doctor wrote,
“MI NUH TRUST YUH. Ah that mi sehh. Yuh diss mi at @harrytoddlerrulaboss74 party. Mi mek it slide. Mi link Banky and asked why Bounty vex and a wha gwaan make him diss me. Banky sehh nothing like that, @grunggaadzilla neva waan share the stage wid yuh until sumfest. Mi say ok,” Beenie Man exclaimed.
Since then, the two have been trading verbal shots online as the war of words intensifies over the looming feud.
However, the exchange has generated mixed reactions from the dancehall community, with many petitioning for the discontent to be brought to an abrupt end. In contrast, others are yearning for what they dub a “respectable clash” between two dancehall titans.
