Prominent Dancehall artist Munga Honorable is set to release his second E.P., ‘G.R.E.A.T.‘ (Gangsta Ras Entrepreneur Artiste Talented), this fall. The forthcoming 13-track set promises a rich tapestry of sounds and tempos, blending dancehall and reggae with Munga’s distinct style. Following his latest album ‘Conundrum,’ released in August 2022, this new E.P. marks another meaningful chapter in Munga’s illustrious career, showcasing his evolution as both an artist and a producer.
Munga Honorable’s musical journey has been marked by growth and experimentation. With ‘G.R.E.A.T.,’ he has taken a more hands-on approach in producing the tracks, aiming to create several hit songs from the project. His dedication to his craft was evident in his recent performance at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, where he took the stage on Dancehall Night after a five-year hiatus.
Reflecting on his previous release, ‘Conundrum,’ Munga Honorable delivered a 13-track compilation that was both soulful and introspective. Executively produced by Hill Top Records and distributed by OneRPM, the album featured collaborations with notable producers such as Don Corleon and Luigi Society. The project included only one artist collaboration, featuring Fanton Mojah, highlighting Munga’s ability to carry an album predominantly on his own talent. In an interview with Prism Marketing Consultants, Munga described ‘Conundrum’ as a more “kosher” and “soulful” offering, with a mix of uptempo dancehall tracks and socially relevant commentary.
Since his emergence with his debut album ‘Bad From Me Born‘ in 2007, Munga Honorable has consistently pushed the boundaries of dancehall music. His previous works, including the E.P.s’ Fiery’ (2019) and ‘Excuse Me‘ (2015), and the album ‘Shine You Light‘ (2020), have solidified his place in the industry.
