Jamaican songbird and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Nordia Mothersille is poised to make a meaningful mark with her forthcoming EP, slated for release later this year under the Notnice Records imprint. In a recent interview with Anthony Miller of Entertainment Report, Mothersille shared her excitement, particularly about a track featuring dancehall frontrunner Chronic Law. “I have a song with Chronic Law that I am very excited for everyone to hear. It’s something I think a lot of people will be able to pull some feelings from,” she revealed, highlighting the unique collaboration despite her non-dancehall-centric musical style.
Mothersille’s forthcoming EP, tentatively titled “Broken Child,” will explore themes of heartbreak, sadness, and love—an artistic choice rooted in her personal experiences. She noted that her evolving sound naturally complements Chronic Law’s often dark and introspective artistry. This collaboration promises to bring a fresh dynamic to her music, potentially attracting a broader audience.
Currently, Nordia is actively promoting her latest single, “Walk Away,” which is available on all major digital and streaming platforms. As anticipation builds for her debut EP, details regarding its official release date, tracklist, and production credits remain under wraps. However, producer Notnice, in a recent conversation with Prism Marketing Consultants, hinted at contributions from several notable industry names, promising a well-rounded and impactful project.
Nordia’s songwriting prowess extends beyond her own performances, having penned tracks for several renowned artists. Her dedication and talent were ultimately recognized with a Grammy Award certification in 2023 for her contributions to Julian Marley’s “Colors Of Royal” album. With her new EP on the horizon, Nordia Mothersille continues to solidify her place in the music industry, blending personal narratives with universal themes.
