Trap-Dancehall artiste Kraff, given name Tevin Randall, is now grappling with additional legal matters following his failure to appear before the Kingston Traffic Court on May 4. The entertainer, renowned for hits like ‘Rum Behaviour‘ and ‘Sinna,’ faces multiple traffic-related charges, including using an electronic communication device while driving, failing to present a driver’s license when requested by a constable, and non-compliance with a constable’s instructions. In light of his absence from the court, a bench warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The charges stem from an incident that unfolded on the afternoon of April 24, when Kraff was intercepted by police while driving his white Mercedes-Benz near Half-Way-Tree. The encounter escalated rapidly, with bystanders capturing the heated exchange between the artiste and the officers. Now widely circulated on social media, videos show Kraff in a confrontational posture, further complicating his legal predicament.
Reports indicate that the initial traffic violation occurred near Hope Road, triggering a series of events that culminated in Kraff’s detention at the Half-Way-Tree Police Station. He was initially charged with a traffic offence and disorderly conduct. Dramatic footage shows the shirtless artiste, handcuffed and wearing only one shoe, being taken into custody. Despite the chaotic scene, Kraff was released shortly after, but his legal troubles are far from over with the recent issuance of the bench warrant.
