On the heel of an international endorsement from the multi-award-winning American actress, singer, and songwriter Raven Symone, Dancehall star Laa Lee continues to reap the rewards of his hard work.
The deejay has secured a nomination for “Song of the Year” with the infectious dance number “Dirt” at this year’s Honour Awards hosted by the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association (JaRIA).
Other contenders in the category include Grammy winner Koffee with “West Indies”, Shenseea’s “Run”, “Virgin” by Jah Vinci, Yaksta with “Ambition”, and Grammy-nominated Queen of the dancehall Spice, with “Go Down Deh” featuring Shaggy and Sean Paul.
The virtual ceremony, sponsored by CHASE Fund and the VM Group, will be live-streamed on Sunday, April 17, via various digital platforms.
Meanwhile, Laa Lee continues to promote the now-viral Bong Bing, the first single from his forthcoming EP to be released as part of the partnership deal with Black Butter Records, a Sony Music affiliate based in the United Kingdom.
