Jamaican dancehall sensation Skillibeng has scored another career win after it was revealed that he would be joining Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Wizkid for his “More Love Less Ego” tour of North America.
This highly anticipated expedition will see Skillibeng appearing on six dates in March, performing alongside Wizkid in Philadelphia, Montreal, and Toronto, Canada, and joining Ruger in Washington, Brooklyn, and Boston. The tour will get underways on March 3 in Houston, Texas and culminate on April 7 in Los Angeles, California.
Renowned African promoter Duke Osy of Duke Concept LLC shared the news on Instagram, stating, “Just got bigger!!! With Jamaican superstar @skillibeng and Nigerian sensation @rugerofficial It’s about to be crazy.”
This exciting news comes two weeks after Skillibeng announced his withdrawal from Chris Brown’s U.K/European leg of the “Under The Influence Tour.”
Skillibeng was previously billed as a supporting act for Brown’s tour. Still, due to unforeseen circumstances, the dancehall artist was unable to participate in the thirteen shows with stops in cities such as London, Dublin, and Paris. Despite this setback, Skillibeng eagerly looks forward to the upcoming tour with Wizkid, expressing his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to perform alongside such talented musicians and connect with his fans in the United States.
With his recent accolade of winning “Best Caribbean Music Act” at the MOBO Awards last year, along with a plethora of high-profile features, Skillibeng’s star power is rapidly rising, and this tour will surely assist in solidifying his status as a powerhouse in the dancehall.
