Jamaican sprint legend and businessman Usain Bolt gave guests, and social media, an unforgettable surprise during his 40th birthday celebration in Kingston when he got down on one knee and proposed to his longtime partner, Kasi Bennett. The romantic rooftop moment at One Belmont ended with a resounding “yes”, with Bennett later showing off a stunning five-carat engagement ring.
The engagement marks a major new chapter for one of Jamaica’s most recognisable celebrity couples. Bolt and Bennett have been together since 2013, initially keeping their relationship away from the public eye before making their romance official in 2016. Over the years, they have built a family together and are now parents to three children: daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt, born in 2020, and twin sons Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt, born in 2021.
Bennett has also established a successful career beyond her high-profile relationship with the world’s fastest man. She serves as Managing Director of Elevate Marketing House Ltd. and is the founder of Project Kase, balancing entrepreneurship, family life and an increasingly visible presence in Jamaican pop culture.
Now, after more than a decade together, Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett are celebrating another major milestone. What began as a 40th birthday party has become a moment of love, family and a new journey for one of the Caribbean’s most famous power couples. Wedding bells may now be the next big conversation.
