In 2023, Skillibeng opened for Drake during the launch of the It’s All a Blur Tour in Chicago. Now, three years later, the Jamaican dancehall star appears to be on the verge of releasing music with the global rap superstar himself.
The speculation erupted after American producer Diplo shared a photo alongside Drake and Skillibeng on Instagram, hinting that the trio may already have a completed song in the works. “Where should we send our shoe sizes and the final master of the song we have together?” Diplo wrote, immediately sending fans into a frenzy online and fuelling rumours of a potential summer anthem.
The moment marks another major milestone in Skillibeng’s international rise. Back in 2023, the deejay delivered an energetic opening set for Drake and 21 Savage at Chicago’s United Center, performing tracks including “Whap Whap”, “Crocodile” and “16 Choppa” in front of thousands of fans. Since then, Skillibeng has continued expanding his global reach through collaborations, viral hits and growing recognition within mainstream music circles.
Meanwhile, the Jamaican entertainer is also enjoying a strong year on the awards circuit. Skillibeng recently secured six nominations at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards, including Dancehall Performer of the Year and multiple nominations for collaborations such as “Shake It to the Max (Remix)” with Moliy and Shenseea, as well as “New Gear” alongside Vybz Kartel.
The teased collaboration also aligns with Drake’s continued exploration of dance and Caribbean-inspired sounds. The Canadian superstar has leaned heavily into the genre on recent projects including Honestly, Nevermind and MAID OF HONOUR, while his latest album ICEMAN continues to dominate the Billboard 200 chart.
Although no official release date has been confirmed, anticipation surrounding the possible Drake, Diplo and Skillibeng collaboration continues to grow online. If released, the track could become one of the biggest dancehall crossover moments of the summer.
