Dropped on Wednesday, January 21, the six-track project debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Reggae Albums Chart, signalling the singer-songwriter’s growing international influence. Released via her independent imprint, Kingdom Mab, the EP blends dancehall, pop, and R&B, showcasing a fearless artistic evolution.
The opening track, “Still Searching,” reinterprets Damian Marley’s 2001 classic, setting a reflective tone that carries through the EP. The playful “NTN But PumPum,” which originated from a viral livestream moment, fuses synth-pop with humour, showing Jada’s versatility and willingness to experiment.
2025 was a pivotal year for Jada Kingdom. Her singles Can’t Tell Me That, Only You, and the viral juggernaut G.A.D. cemented her international reach, with the latter surpassing one million views on Instagram and TikTok within days. G.A.D. also became the highest-charting song by a female artist in Jamaica at the time, peaking at No. 3 on Apple Music’s Top 25 Kingston Chart and cracking Top Five Shazam charts across multiple territories. Critical acclaim followed, with Billboard praising her fearless manipulation of local slang through a feminist lens, while Stereogum hailed the track as a “2000s pop revival” reimagined for a new generation.
Jada’s global momentum extended to the stage, with high-profile appearances at New York’s UBS Arena, London’s Soak’d Pineapple x SANDZ Ultra Weekend, and closing 2025 by headlining Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street Europe concert in Malta.
