The soulful crooner revealed in a recent interview with The Gleaner that he is already working on fresh material, stating, “We’ve been on the road with the album, and that still has me booked for this year, but we’re preparing to release new music soon—hopefully this month—March.” Fans can also look forward to a new album before 2025 ends. “I don’t have a timeline for it really. Virgo’s The Gentleman album isn’t just a solo effort—his unexpected collaboration with dancehall star Masicka on the track Been There Before became a fan favourite. Reflecting on this partnership, Virgo shared, “I reached out to Masicka not knowing if it was even possible, and to show you how much of a good person he is, he took the time out to say, ‘Alright, yeah, Romain Virgo, reggae artiste, but mi still ago do a song with him.’ And it turned out to be such a great song.” The singer also hinted at more exciting collaborations, including one with long-time friend Christopher Martin.
