More Prison Time for Dudus: Christopher Coke’s Release Date Extended by One Year Amid Reports of Alleged Altercation with Diddy

Convicted Jamaican drug lord Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke is now scheduled to be released from a United States federal prison on January 28, 2029, a year later than his previously listed release date. The unexplained change comes amid reports by various media outlets alleging that Coke was involved in a physical altercation with music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey. However, there is no verified evidence linking the reported confrontation to the revised release date.

Coke’s projected release date was listed as January 29, 2028, when his details were checked on the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ website in July. The latest date represents a one-year extension, although the circumstances surrounding the change remain unclear. Coke was sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2012 for his role in a drug conspiracy. If released on the newly listed date, he will have served approximately 17 years of that sentence.

The revised release date comes as reports of an alleged prison confrontation involving Coke and Combs attract attention. According to TMZ, the incident occurred last Friday after Coke reportedly confronted Combs over prison-wide searches that followed an NBC report alleging that the music mogul was enjoying unusually comfortable conditions while incarcerated at Fort Dix. The searches reportedly resulted in prison authorities confiscating contraband, including mobile phones, from multiple inmates.

TMZ further reported that the alleged confrontation left Combs with a head injury, prompting his transfer to an outside medical facility for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the reported incident have not been independently verified, and no official explanation has been provided for Coke’s revised release date. It also remains unclear whether the change reflects an administrative adjustment or another factor related to his sentence.

Coke, who became internationally known following his extradition from Jamaica to the United States in 2010, remains at the centre of renewed attention as questions emerge about his prison release timeline. For now, the reason for the additional year behind bars remains unknown, while the reported altercation with Combs remains an allegation rather than an independently confirmed account.
