For the fourth time this year, Squash’s projected release from U.S. federal prison has been brought forward. Updated Federal Bureau of Prisons records now show that the Jamaican dancehall entertainer is scheduled to leave custody on November 11, 2026, another 15 days earlier than his previously listed release date and a total of 75 days ahead of his original projected release date of January 25, 2027.

The latest adjustment marks another significant shift in the sentence timeline of the artiste, born Andrae Maurice Whittaker. His projected release date has now moved from January 25, 2027, to December 26, then December 11, November 26 and finally November 11, 2026. The entertainer is currently serving his 27-month sentence at FCI Oakdale in Louisiana. The repeated reductions come after he sought immediate relief through a civil lawsuit, arguing that prison officials had wrongly denied him access to sentence-reduction opportunities available under the First Step Act and Second Chance Act.

His lawsuit was dismissed in July after he failed to resubmit his petition on the court-approved form within the required deadline, despite later paying the US$5 filing fee. However, the timing of his continued sentence reductions is notable. Squash has now seen his projected release date brought forward repeatedly, potentially through sentence-credit provisions that formed part of the broader argument raised in his legal challenge. The latest 15-day reduction leaves the dancehall star little more than two months away from his projected release.

However, leaving federal prison may not be the final chapter of Squash’s U.S. legal journey. Immigration proceedings are still expected to determine what happens next after his release from Bureau of Prisons custody. As the countdown to November 11 continues, attention will now turn to whether the dancehall artiste remains in the United States or faces removal proceedings, and what the outcome could mean for the next phase of his music career.
