Fresh off a landmark Grammy victory, Jamaican reggae crooner Keznamdi is turning industry recognition into global momentum, with Billboard exclusively confirming his first U.S. performances since the career-defining moment. The “Bread and Butta” hitmaker will launch the American leg of his upcoming world tour with a pair of intimate shows in Los Angeles and New York City this May, as his streaming numbers and chart presence continue to amplify across international platforms.
The Blxxd & Fyah singer is set to perform at Hotel Café on May 13 before heading to S.O.B.’s on May 20, revisiting two cities where he previously sold out early shows. Speaking to Billboard, Keznamdi described the moment as both personal and symbolic, noting that the Grammy recognition has strengthened his mission to represent Jamaican culture globally. He also revealed that a major homecoming concert is already being planned in Kingston. “Jamaica is home, and we’re putting together something special for the people who raised, supported and carried me into the world,” he said, reaffirming his connection to roots reggae and Rastafari.
The announcement follows one of the most statistically significant post-Grammy surges in recent reggae history. After winning Best Reggae Album for Blxxd & Fyah, the project recorded 74 new digital milestones within 37 days across Apple Music, Spotify and iTunes, reflecting a 138 per cent acceleration compared to his 2025 performance rate. The album also reclaimed the No.1 spot on the U.S. iTunes Reggae chart, surpassing catalog releases from Bob Marley, while tracks such as “Forever Grateful” featuring Masicka and collaborations with Mavado have benefited from renewed algorithmic traction. The project’s Pan-African influences draw from his time living in Ethiopia and Tanzania, alongside the musical legacy of his parents’ reggae band Chakula.
Meanwhile, the Grammy bounce continues to translate into broader visibility across Caribbean and global markets, with fellow nominees including Lila Iké also benefiting from increased chart activity. With more tour dates expected and a Jamaica homecoming event in development, Keznamdi’s post-awards momentum is quickly evolving from a celebratory moment into a defining global expansion phase for modern reggae.
