More than 22,000 fans turned out for the Caribbean Night Festival at Eisenhower Park in Long Island, New York, where dancehall star Charly Black fired up the crowd before Grammy-winning reggae artiste Keznamdi closed the showcase with selections from his acclaimed album BLXXD & FYAH. The family-friendly celebration marked Keznamdi’s first live performance since his sold-out concerts in New York and Los Angeles earlier this year, extending his remarkable post-Grammy momentum while offering fans a preview of his highly anticipated U.S. tour with Live Nation this October.
The performance represented another significant milestone for the Jamaican singer, who has enjoyed one of the biggest years of his career. Fresh from capturing a Grammy Award for BLXXD & FYAH and earning nominations for Reggae Album of the Year and the Reggae Impact Award at the upcoming Caribbean Music Awards, Keznamdi continues to strengthen his reputation as one of reggae’s leading contemporary voices. His appearance in Long Island introduced songs from the award-winning project to thousands of new listeners while reconnecting with long-time supporters eager to see him return to the stage.
Speaking with Prism Marketing Consultants following the event, Keznamdi reflected on the warm reception from the New York audience. “The people appreciated the authentic energy we brought to the event and the music was well received. The Long Island appearance follows Keznamdi’s sold-out headline shows at Hotel Café in Los Angeles and SOB’s in New York, which came shortly after his historic Grammy triumph. Those performances also preceded the announcement of his BLXXD & FYAH Live U.S. tour in partnership with Live Nation, with dates scheduled for San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and New York this October. Meanwhile, the reggae star has already shifted his focus back to the studio, revealing that he is preparing new music alongside fellow Jamaican artiste Samory I. With major award recognition, growing international demand and fresh collaborations on the horizon, Keznamdi’s momentum shows little sign of slowing down.
