Just months after making history with his Grammy-winning album BLXXD & FYAH, reggae star Keznamdi is continuing his remarkable international run with multiple nominations at the upcoming 2026 Caribbean Music Awards. After selling out headline concerts in New York and Los Angeles, and launching a major U.S. tour with Live Nation, the Jamaican artist has now earned two nominations at the prestigious event, adding yet another milestone to further cement his emergence as one of reggae’s leading modern voices.

Keznamdi secured nominations for Reggae Album of the Year for BLXXD & FYAH and the coveted Reggae Impact Award as the Caribbean Music Awards prepares for its biggest staging yet. The fourth annual ceremony, which officially opened voting on June 10, will feature more than 250 nominees across over 40 categories, highlighting the growing global influence and diversity of Caribbean music. This year’s expanded field includes new categories celebrating Dennery, Zess, Konpa, Chutney Soca, Jab and French Caribbean sounds, reflecting the genre-blending direction currently shaping the region’s musical landscape.

The nominations arrive during a major career surge for the Jamaican entertainer. Earlier this month, Keznamdi announced the first U.S. dates for his highly anticipated BLXXD & FYAH Live world tour in partnership with Live Nation. The announcement followed two sold-out performances at Hotel Café in Los Angeles and SOB’s in New York, where fans packed intimate venues to witness the reggae singer’s first concerts since his Grammy triumph. The performances drew strong reactions online, with supporters praising his commanding stage presence, soulful delivery and conscious lyricism.

Momentum has continued to build around BLXXD & FYAH, which has quickly become one of the most celebrated reggae projects of the past year. Alongside the Caribbean Music Awards recognition, Keznamdi had previously earned nominations at the International Reggae and World Music Awards, including Best Album and Best Song for “Forever Grateful” featuring Masicka. Reflecting on his recent success, the singer thanked supporters while teasing an even bigger live experience ahead. “A few months ago, we were celebrating a Grammy. A few weeks ago, we packed out rooms in Los Angeles and New York. Now it’s time for the next chapter,” he said following the tour announcement.

With upcoming stops scheduled for San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and New York this October, Keznamdi’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. As reggae continues expanding its global footprint, the artist’s latest run of nominations, sold-out performances and international recognition signals that he is rapidly becoming one of the genre’s defining voices of the new generation.
