Is this another Billboard-bound moment for dancehall and Afrobeats? Fans certainly think so, and it seems to be exactly the intention of acclaimed Jamaican producer Rvssian, who has tapped MOLIY, Ayetian and Tyga for What I Like, a sleek, genre-blurring release from his latest Recovery Riddim compilation. Dropped on Friday, January 9, the track arrives with strong momentum, following MOLIY’s recent Billboard success with Shake It To The Max (Fly) (Remix) alongside Silent Addy, Shenseea and Skillibeng.

At its core, What I Like is a celebration of modern global sound. MOLIY’s airy, hypnotic vocals glide effortlessly over the riddim, reaffirming her status as one of the most distinctive voices shaping today’s Afrofusion and Caribbean-pop landscape. Ayetian injects infectious energy into the record, blending Jamaican Patois with Haitian Creole in a way that feels organic and culturally fluid, while Tyga’s verse introduces a polished West Coast hip-hop edge that broadens the song’s mainstream appeal without diluting its Caribbean roots.

The release lands at a particularly high point in MOLIY’s career. Her single Body Go featuring Tyla is currently sitting at No. 6 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, after peaking at No. 42 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and climbing to No. 34 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, underscoring her growing crossover power. Industry approval has followed swiftly, with dancehall icon Vybz Kartel offering a public co-sign, commenting “Badd” on MOLIY’s Instagram post announcing the release — a brief endorsement that carries serious weight in Caribbean music circles.

For Ayetian, the collaboration signals another major step in an already breakout year, while Rvssian once again proves his strength as a global curator, seamlessly connecting sounds from Jamaica, Ghana, Haiti and the United States. With What I Like, all signs point to another chart-ready moment — and possibly Rvssian’s next global dancefloor staple.
