Dancehall artiste and former Gaza vice-president Sikka, formerly known as Sikka Rymes, is gearing up for a return to the music landscape, signing a fresh deal through Virgin | Radar Live and announcing the release date for his forthcoming album, Still Strong, set to arrive on 9 January 2026. The move signals a decisive new chapter for the Portmore deejay, who has navigated one of the most turbulent journeys in recent dancehall history — from surviving a 2019 shooting, to serving prison time overseas, to regaining his freedom in July 2024.

The new partnership is being hailed as his strongest industry push to date, giving Sikka a global infrastructure at a time when fans are eager to see how he reinvents himself musically and personally. His upcoming album is expected to explore perseverance, growth, and the lessons of the past six years — a period defined by both public scrutiny and private rebuilding.

This latest development lands just over a year after the entertainer resurfaced online while still incarcerated in the UK, revealing a dramatic physical transformation. Sporting a short afro and a darker complexion after abandoning years of skin bleaching. The image reignited conversations about his legal battles, including his 2023 conviction for domestic abuse, which drew widespread commentary and a public divorce announcement from his then-wife, Shy. Her posts — detailing her emotional and financial ordeal — sparked dialogue about accountability and the often-unseen realities behind public relationships.

Sikka Rymes was released from custody in July 2024, returning to a dancehall landscape eager yet watchful. His re-emergence since then has been measured, focused, according to those close to him, on introspection and music rather than spectacle. The signing with Virgin | Radar Live reinforces that narrative, positioning him for what may be his most commercially ambitious era.

With Still Strong now officially on the way, all eyes are on how Sikka Rymes channels the highs, lows, and hard lessons of his journey. Fans will soon hear whether the music matches the name — and if this comeback marks the start of a fully redefined chapter in his career.
