The monster hit Shake it to the Max (Fly) remix featuring Ghanaian-American singer Moliy, Miami-based producer Silent Addy, and Jamaican dancehall heavyweights Skillibeng and Shenseea has secured the No. 19 spot on Billboard’s The 50 Best Songs of 2025 So Far list. Released in February, the genre-blending anthem has ignited airwaves and dancefloors worldwide with its infectious blend of Afrobeats and dancehall, bolstered by a viral dance craze that refuses to fade.
In celebrating the remix’s impact, Billboard praised the track as “a genre-bending smash hit… a worthy contender as any to be played outside at very high volumes for the next three months, preferably in residential areas and the beach.” The track has climbed to No. 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart—marking the first time in 19 years a Jamaican has cracked the top 10—while also reaching No. 47 on the Hot 100. It continues to ascend across multiple categories including R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Digital Song Sales, and was recently certified silver in the UK for surpassing 200,000 units in combined sales and streams.
Amid this musical high, Shenseea is preparing to embark on her 9-city European tour this weekend, bringing her magnetic energy and growing catalogue to fans across the continent. The Jamaican starlet was also spotlighted in Billboard’s Black Music Built Us feature in honour of Black Music Month, where she shared heartfelt reflections on the genre’s significance. “Black music is important because it articulates the voices of our people… it has been liberating, inspirational, motivational, historical and cultural,” she said. “I’m just proud to contribute to the art as a Black woman.”
With chart-topping collaborations, global recognition, and a deep connection to the cultural roots of her music, Shenseea’s 2025 is shaping up to be both historic and heartfelt.
