Ghanaian-American star Moliy continues to etch her name into the history books, becoming the first-ever Ghanaian artiste to perform at the prestigious BET Awards. On Monday, June 9, 2025, the vibrant singer lit up Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre with a dazzling performance of her international smash hit “Shake It to the Max (FLY),” alongside collaborator Silent Addy. Dressed in a shimmering gold mesh top and metallic skirt, Moliy commanded the stage with flawless choreography, infectious energy, and unmistakable star power—capturing the hearts of fans both in the venue and across the globe.

Social media erupted in celebration as fans and fellow Ghanaians expressed immense pride in her milestone moment. “Can’t stop watching this video ooo???❤️❤️❤️,” one fan gushed on X (formerly Twitter), while another wrote, “She came, she shined, and she shook it to the absolute max ✨ We see you, @moliymusic #BETAwards.” The performance was more than entertainment—it was a cultural victory for Ghana’s growing influence on the world music stage.

Moliy’s BET moment comes as her hit single “Shake It to the Max (FLY) Remix” continues its meteoric rise on the Billboard charts. After debuting at No. 91 on the Billboard Hot 100, the track—featuring Jamaican heavyweights Shenseea and Skillibeng along with Silent Addy—has leapt to No. 56 in just three weeks. The accompanying music video has already surpassed 61 million views on YouTube, thanks in part to the viral dance craze the song has inspired. Notably, this marks Shenseea’s and Silent Addy’s first fully credited entry on the Hot 100 chart and Moliy and Skillibeng’s second.

With her groundbreaking BET performance and chart success, Moliy is not only representing Ghana on global stages but also shaping the future of Afrobeats and Dancehall-infused pop. Her achievements signal a new era for West African music and affirm that her star is only beginning to rise.
