Spice, the reigning Queen of Dancehall, is proving time and again why she remains at the top of her game. Recently confirmed as one of the headliners for the highly anticipated Vybz Kartel Freedom Street Europe Edition, Spice continues to enjoy a career uptick. This major announcement comes on the heels of a string of industry triumphs, including her debut studio album, 10, which has sold 140,000 units in the United States, with 21,000 pure album sales and over 371 million global streams on Spotify. According to Chart Data, 10 is now the highest-selling and most-streamed dancehall album of the past five years, underscoring Spice’s unparalleled influence and the genre’s growing global reach.

Spice’s career continues to reach new heights. Last September, after co-hosting and winning the coveted ‘Artist of the Decade – Female’ award at the 2024 Caribbean Music Awards in Brooklyn, New York, Spice added another feather to her cap: her first Silver certification in the United Kingdom. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) awarded this honour for her 2014 hit, “So Mi Like It,” recognizing sales of over 200,000 units in the UK. This comes on the heels of the song earning a Gold certification in Canada, surpassing 40,000 units sold. These milestones reinforce Spice’s global reach and her enduring relevance in the international music scene.

Her MOBO Awards appearance in 2025 was another moment that captured the world’s attention. Dazzling fans in a crystal-studded royal blue gown, Spice exuded the confidence and artistry that have made her a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Spice’s ability to conquer both the stage and the studio proves that she is much more than just a performer—she’s a trailblazer who continues to shape the future of the genre. Her presence extends beyond the music industry. Recently, she made her mark in the UK as her anthem “So Mi Like It” secured a feature on the hit British television series Boarders. The track, which has become a staple of her career, played during a pivotal scene in Season 1, Episode 5, showcasing her international influence. As dancehall continues to gain momentum globally, Spice’s role as an ambassador for the genre has never been more apparent. Her global recognition is not only due to her music but also to her unwavering commitment to representing Jamaican culture on the world stage.
