Spice is proving once again why she wears the crown as dancehall’s reigning queen. Fresh off a groundbreaking collaboration with acclaimed UK producer Sammy Virji and East London grime pioneer Flowdan, her latest feature on the electrifying Dance/Electronic single “Match My Mood” has stormed past 500,000 streams in just three days and racked up 6,008 radio plays in the same period. The milestone makes it one of the fastest-rising singles by a Jamaican female artiste to reach such numbers in under a week. Adding to the momentum, the album has already peaked at number one in the U.S. and U.K. on Apple Music’s Dance/Electronic chart, cementing Spice’s unmatched global pull and her ability to transcend genres.

The track is a masterclass in fusion: Virji’s pulsating UK garage production, Flowdan’s gritty, bass-driven verses, and Spice’s unmistakable dancehall firepower. Together, they’ve crafted a record with international crossover appeal, positioning Spice not just as a genre icon but as a versatile force reshaping the global soundscape. “This isn’t just a win for me — it’s a win for every woman in dancehall who was ever told she couldn’t,” Spice recently declared, a statement that rings louder with each new milestone.

Her feature comes on the heels of another history-making achievement: earlier this month, Spice became the first Jamaican female artist to see a lead single surpass 300 million streams on Spotify. Her global smash “Go Down Deh” with Shaggy and Sean Paul now boasts over 308 million streams, earning certifications in the UK, France, and Canada, and is already eligible for gold in the United States. The triumph solidifies her as a trailblazer, redefining what’s possible for women in a space long dominated by men.

Beyond streaming dominance, Spice’s impact continues to grow. Her Grammy-nominated debut album 10 has crossed 408 million global streams and sold more than 140,000 units in the U.S., including 21,000 in pure sales — the highest for any dancehall project in the last decade. She also remains the only Jamaican female dancehall act to top the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, proving that her influence spans both digital metrics and traditional benchmarks of success.

And the momentum shows no signs of slowing. On December 6, Spice will make her long-awaited debut in Kampala, Uganda, marking her third African visit after appearances in Ghana and Zambia. Fans across East Africa are already bracing for what is being hailed as one of the year’s most anticipated dancehall concerts. With half-a-million new streams under her belt in just days and a historic African debut on the horizon, Spice is not just matching moods — she’s setting them on a global scale.
