Dancehall artiste Blak Ryno has recently shared some personal reflections, shedding light on his journey as both an artist and an individual. In a recent Instagram post, he opened up about a significant aspect of his growth, highlighting his success in managing his anger—an issue he candidly admitted had been a major flaw.
“Best part of my growth is anger management, proud a yuh Romane !!! short temper was a major flau .? ?” Ryno confessed in his post, hinting at the personal battles he’s conquered along the way.
However, in a characteristic blend of humour and self-awareness, Ryno didn’t shy away from acknowledging his ongoing struggle with trust issues. “Can’t detach from trust issues tho ? mi nuh trust nuh MAN #stay #paranoid #unpredictable,” he quipped, revealing a glimpse into the complexities of his persona.
This introspective revelation adds a layer of depth to Ryno’s public image, resonating with fans who’ve followed his career trajectory closely. Throughout his musical journey, trust, or rather the lack thereof, has emerged as a recurring motif, weaving its way through his lyrics and performances. Tracks like ‘Badmind,’ featured on the ‘Nuh Fear Riddim‘ compilation by Rvssian, serve as poignant reflections of Ryno’s inner turmoil and the hurdles he’s navigated.
As Ryno continues to evolve as an artist and as an individual, he’s not only reflecting on his personal growth but also actively contributing to the vibrant tapestry of dancehall music. His latest single, ‘Moody,’ the second release from his upcoming EP, stands as evidence of his creative prowess and unwavering dedication to his craft. Produced by a stellar lineup, including Chambah from Silverbird Records, ZJ Sparks from Twelve 9 Records, and DJ Bloodline Franco, the track exudes infectious energy and showcases Ryno’s signature style.
With ‘Moody‘ already making waves on digital and streaming platforms since its April 5 release, Ryno shows no signs of slowing down. As he gears up for an upcoming concert in Poughkeepsie, New York, following a successful showcase in the Bronx, he continues to captivate audiences with his performances. For Ryno, it’s not just about the music—it’s about embracing growth, confronting challenges, and staying true to oneself in a world that’s as unpredictable as it is exhilarating.
