Alwyn Brown, a prominent businessman and event promoter more popularly known as “Brown Speed” and the proprietor of Sharkies Seafood Restaurant has been left in a state of disbelief and violation following a distressing incident in which one of his restaurants was targeted by armed robbers on Monday morning.
Taking to his Instagram story, Brown expressed his astonishment, saying, “Can you believe say me grow up a Runaway Bay and lived here all my life and the bwoy dem come rob Sharkies wid gun this morning? I’m happy say dem nuh hurt the bearer but me feel offended.”
In a subsequent slide, he continued, emphasizing the strong bond he shares with his community, stating, “Defend me community, represent me community, give back to me community and the man dem come diss me.”
An official statement was released by Brown Speed, stating that at 8:48 am, two individuals on a motorcycle held the bearer at gunpoint and stole some money. The entire incident was captured on surveillance footage, which has been shared with the police, who are currently conducting an investigation. No arrests have been made to date.
