After a remarkable journey spanning over a decade and a half, renowned music promoter Dane Miller, better known as “Ghetto Bomb,” has announced his retirement from the vibrant world of reggae and dancehall music promotion across Jamaica.
A driving force behind the success of numerous music stars and production houses, Ghetto Bomb is bidding farewell to this chapter to shift his focus to other personal and professional endeavours.
In his own words, Bomb stated, “Me a retire from the business now, a fifteen-year mi do inna this and mi just reach a point where mi wah focus on other things now like keeping events, the auto business and other personal things.” As conveyed to Prism Marketing Consultants, this transition marks a significant move towards diversifying his activities.
Throughout his celebrated career, Ghetto Bomb collaborated with an impressive array of artists and production entities, including DASECA, Bugle, Serani, Big Ship, Chino, Steven, Laden, Bramma, Kartel, Mavado, Aidonia, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Richie Loops, Christopher Martin, Downsounds Entertainment, Ishawna, Nature, Specialist, among others. Reflecting on his journey, the music promoter highlighted that working closely with Stephen McGregor during a pivotal period in dancehall music, when the genre’s sound was evolving, stands out as a particularly fulfilling experience.
Despite retiring from music promotion, Ghetto Bomb remains motivated and poised to channel his energy into other endeavours. He mentioned that while music promotion may be off the table, he will continue to explore various other interests. As he embarks on this new phase of life, he expresses gratitude towards all those who contributed to his journey, from industry stalwarts to fellow collaborators.
