Dancehall sensation Kemar Highcon was recently arrested and charged with Grand Theft Auto in Broward County, Florida. The artist, whose real name is Kemar Emilio Woodfine, was taken into custody by Margate law enforcement officers on May 5, 2023, as per his arrest record. A mugshot of the entertainer surfaced online on Sunday, revealing his current status.
Although no further details were disclosed about the charges against him, Highcon’s arrest record indicates that he was booked under statute 812-014-2c6, which pertains to the unlawful possession of someone else’s property. He was subsequently released on U$500 bond.
For a Grand Theft to be considered a third-degree felony in Florida, the automobile stolen must be valued between U$750 and U$20,000. It can result in 5 years imprisonment and a maximum fine of U$5,000.
