At press time, Rihanna had 108,278,326 followers, while Katy Perry trailed just behind with 108,261,949 followers, making the difference between them a mere 16,000 followers. However, this record may switch hands between the two superstar singers in the near future.
Meanwhile, the third-most followed individual on the platform is Justin Bieber, with 113,156,831 followers, followed by former President Barack Obama, with almost 133 million followers. Sitting atop Twitter Mountain is Elon Musk, with more than 134 million followers, far ahead of any other individual on the platform.
On Instagram, Cristiano Ronaldo, a world-renowned football player, boasts the most followers, with more than 574 million. Lionel Messi, another soccer player, follows behind with 454 million followers. Selena Gomez is the most-followed woman and musician on the platform, with 410 million followers. Ariana Grande is the seventh-most followed individual with 362 million followers, followed by Kim Kardashian with 350 million followers. Beyoncé and Justin Bieber round out the top 11 with 302 million and 283 million followers, respectively.
These rankings reflect the massive followings these individuals have amassed on social media, highlighting the significant role these platforms play in modern-day pop culture.
