Highly acclaimed dancehall artist, Popcaan, has once again expanded his musical reach as the long-awaited Unruly Fest is set to have a double staging later this year.Â
One of the Unruly Boss’s media accounts announced via Instagram that the first show will take place on November 30 in London, while the second staging will be held on December 22 in Jamaica, as announced last month.
Unruly Fest has faced several challenges in the past three years, with numerous events being postponed due to the pandemic. The festival has been on hiatus since its last staging in 2019, and fans eagerly await its return. While no specific details have been provided regarding the event, fans are still thrilled about the announcement.
In previous years, Unruly Fest was held at Good Year Oval in St. Thomas in 2019 and Lyssons Park in 2018. Popcaan’s fans had anticipated the festival’s return last year, but instead, the artiste urged fans to support him at Burna Boy’s Love Damini world tour concert, held on December 18, 2022, at the National Stadium in Kingston.
The Unruly Fest is renowned for its premium production. It has featured performances from both local and international stars, including Drake, Skillibeng, Chronic Law, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, and Bugle, among others.
