Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta has wasted no time returning to his passion after his release from the Horizon Remand Correctional Facility in Kingston.
The popular entertainer has confirmed that he will be performing at this year’s highly anticipated Reggae Sumfest slated for Catherine Hall, Montego Bay.
In a recent Instagram post, the Sparta Boss shared an official artwork of himself as one of the headliners for the festival, along with the caption: “Sumfest! Get ready for the Spartan Soldier fi take over the stage July 21st!”
Fans were thrilled to hear the news and eagerly shared their excitement in the comments section.
The talented artiste was granted early release for good behaviour, just a few days ago. Tommy Lee Sparta served over two years in the Jamaican penal system after being found guilty of illegally possessing a firearm and ammunition in March 2021. His sentence was initially set at three years, but his guilty plea and model behaviour ultimately led to his early release.
The artist was arrested in December 2020 after being caught with a firearm on Holborn Road, New Kingston. The police SWAT division detained him, and he was subsequently charged and brought to court. Attorneys-at-law Tom Tavares Finson QC and Donahue Martin represented the deejay.
With his undeniable talent and dedicated fanbase, Tommy Lee Sparta is sure to bring his A-game to Reggae Sumfest this year.
