The dancehall scene is no stranger to drama and feuds, and another one is brewing between popular entertainers, Popcaan and Squash.
A voice note now circulating on social media has caused tension between the two artists, with Popcaan being accused of disrespecting his dancehall counterpart, Squash.
In the voice note, Popcaan is allegedly heard discussing a dance move that he claims “some man” is trying to steal from him and rebrand it “Foot” instead of “Feet.” He then allegedly mentions Squash as the culprit behind this apparent theft of his style and even goes as far as labelling him a member of the alphabet community.
Getting wind of the revelation, Squash quickly responded to Popcaan’s comments via his Instagram account, dismissing them as an apparent “joke” amid calling Popcaan a “s**k w**d ediot boy.” He also asserted that he and the Unruly Boss are not the same and that he is a “badman in real life.”
Popcaan, however, did not take Squash’s response lying down and fired back with his own unsavoury response, defending his brand and telling Squash to “s**k yuh m**a”.
The back and forth between the two artists has left fans of the dancehall community divided, with some choosing sides while others remained optimistic for a peaceful resolution.
