On Friday evening, dancehall fans were left disappointed following an announcement by the management team of popular entertainer Skillibeng.
In a statement posted via his official Instagram account, the label issued an advisory that Skillibeng will no longer be a part of American R&B hitmaker Chris Brown’s “Under The Influence” Tour slated to begin this weekend.
The statement read, “It is with a heavy heart that Skillibeng/Eastsyde Records would like to announce to fan, his withdrawal from the “Under the Influence Tour: Europe.Â
We were looking forward to being on the road with our brother Chris Brown and doing what we both do best which is entertaining our fans.
Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we could not make the Europe leg of the tour happen.Â
We look forward to being on the road Again.”
Securing the ‘”Best Caribbean Music Act” at last year’s MOBO Awards, Skillibeng was billed as a supporting act for Brown’s European/U.K. leg of his tour, comprising thirteen shows with stops in London, Dublin, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Paris, Zurich, Oberhausen, Berlin, Brussels, Munich and Amsterdam. Â
The tour will get underway on February 12, 2023, at the 3 Arena in Ireland and culminate on March 6 at the Ziggo Dome in the Netherlands.
