Coming off a pair of stellar performances at Rebel Salute and Hennessy’s Soiree – “A Night In Tulum”, dancehall hitmaker Jahshii is slated to release a new single with ace deejay Masicka this weekend.
Titled “Pieces“, the collaborative effort produced by Dunwell is set for premiere this Friday, February 10, with the accompaniment of an official video. The revelation was made by Masicka via his official Instagram account, with two posts, one of a 14-second video snippet and the other a cover art for the project with the respective captions,
“Juss Picking up the pieces….. Friday 2/10 @jahshiimusic #pieces.” and
“This Friday 2/10 puzzle of life”
The visual for the project was shot throughout the thoroughfares of Kingston and St. Andrew weeks ago when Masicka and Jahshii were spotted on the set of a scene in the Grants Pen community.
Fans have eagerly awaited this collaboration, as both artists are renowned for their raw and emotive depictions of the struggles faced by everyday people through their music.
Last summer, while in attendance at the Reggae Sumfest, the two showed mutual respect for each other, and since then, fans have been waiting with bated breath for a joint project.
