The Unruly Boss Popcaan has expressed concerns over the travel restrictions that prevent him from entering the United States.
The artist, who recently launched his album “Great Is He,” took to social media platform Twitter to question the ban and urged his followers to start a “1st time in America campaign.” In a tweet, he wrote,
“Why they let me into everywhere except America?? something not right!!! Well i would like to see what America look like. Let’s start the 1st time in America campaign today!!! #GIHE

Despite never being in the US, Popcaan has collaborated with several international stars such as Drake, Jamie xx, Pusha T, Giggs, Matoma, Wale, Gorillaz and Davido, among others.
Popcaan was slated to perform at Atlanta’s 2017 Red Bull Culture Clash. Unfortunately, his team issued a statement the day prior indicating that his travel documents were not processed in time. The entertainer, whose real name is Andrae Sutherland, was also a featured performer on the recently concluded Caribbean leg of Burna Boy’s “Love Damini” tour.
Popcaan’s tweet sparked a variety of reactions from his followers. Some voiced their disappointment about not seeing him perform on U.S soil, while others described a trip to America as “overrated.” Many suggested that Chicago should be his first stop when he is able to travel to the U.S.
Popcaan’s album “Great Is He” was released today, Friday, January 27th, and comprises 17 tracks with features from former Jamaican beauty queen Toni-Ann Singh, Chronic Law, Canadian rapper Drake and the African giant Burna Boy. This is Popcaan’s fifth studio album following the success of “Where We Come From“, which reached No.2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, and “Forever“, which debuted at No. 171 on the Billboard 200 Chart. The anticipation for “Great Is He” has been building up over the past year.
Overall, Popcaan’s fans and followers are eager to see him perform live in the United States and hope that he will be able to resolve the travel restrictions that impede him from entering the country.
