Popcaan, the dancehall star, recently paid tribute to Vybz Kartel on his birthday and has now followed up with another uplifting message for the Worl Boss.
In addition to Kartel, the Unruly Boss also included a shout-out to the entertainer’s baby mother, Shorty.
On Saturday, Popcaan tweeted, “More life and prosperity sir Azim✊🏿 Appreciate everything G, Stay up and keep the meditation sharp!! Freedom is all I wish for you. Blessings on Blessings 🙏🏿” He then took to Twitter again on Tuesday afternoon to continue to show support for Kartel, even amidst his incarceration and the challenges he faces. “Wul boss keep the meditation firm sameway humbre”, he wrote, and also expressed appreciation for Shorty stating, “big up shorty!” ending with the declaration that “unruly a gaza! Gaza a unruly!”
Vybz Kartel, who turned 47 on January 7, has been in prison since 2014 when he was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. Despite a lack of physical proof, he was convicted based on circumstantial evidence and initially had 35 years before parole eligibility. However, his sentence was recently reduced to 32 years and six months following an appeal in 2020. Despite this, Kartel’s attorney, Isat Buchanan, holds hope that his client will ultimately be cleared of all charges.
