Female vocalist Sevana (born Anna-Share Blake) is scheduled to appear before the Westmoreland Home Circuit Court this morning to answer the charge of death by dangerous driving.
As previously reported, Prism Marketing Consultants understands that the singer is no longer being represented by attorney-at-law Yushaine Morgan in the matter set for mention on Monday, October 31.
Sevana’s legal woes stemmed from an incident back in May 2021; just one week after obtaining her driver’s licence on May 17, she was involved in a collision that resulted in the death of a female motorist.
According to the police, Sevana was driving a Honda City along the Scotts Cove main road in Whitehouse, Westmoreland, when it collided with a Honda Fit travelling in the opposite direction.
Ordia Cordiel, who was travelling in the Honda Fit, sustained severe injuries and was admitted to the Black River Hospital. She succumbed to her injuries on May 30.
At the time, Attorney-at-law Yushaine Morgan, who represented the singer, requested that his client be permitted to travel without restrictions to facilitate her career. Bail in the amount of $400,000 was offered to her with no conditions attached.
On the musical front, Sevana is currently promoting her latest single, “Lowe Mi”, produced by Pantha. The naturesque visual released in June has amassed over 1.1 million views via Youtube and continues to enjoy an upward trend in viewership.
